Fifteen democratic-led US states filed lawsuits challenging the Trump administration’s reduction of recommended childhood vaccines, deeming it not supported by science and harmful to public health.

Seven vaccines, including those for flu, hepatitis, Covid-19 and meningococcal diseases, have been downgraded to recommendation only for high-risk groups.

State officials warn that the move disregards decades of research and endangers children, urging for restoration of full vaccine recommendations.
